Capture Info:-

1942/03/05 - South of Bali Island when the HMS Stronghold was sunk by Japanese Destroyers. Three days in water before being rescued.

PoW Camps:-

PoW Camps:- Makassar, Celebes and Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Japan.

 

Survived Liberation

Repatriation:-

Roll - 'USS Marine Shark':- Departed Manila 1945/10/10. Destination San Francisco, California. Arrived 1945/11/01. British then entrained to the East Coast and transported in Queen Mary to Southampton.

 

Notes

Departed Makassar 1942/10/10 in Asama Maru to Japan.
