1942/03/02 - 2nd Battle of Java Sea when HMS Encounter sunk, rescued by the Japanese destroyer Ikazuchi.

PoW Camps:-

PoW Camps:- Makassar, Celebes and Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Japan.

 

Survived Liberation

Repatriation:-

Roll - 'HMS Glory':- Embarked Manila 1945/10/09 as a Hospital Walking Patient. Destination Esquimalt Naval Base, Canada. British then entrained to the East Coast and transported to UK.

 

Notes

Departed Makassar 1942/10/10 in Asama Maru to Japan.
